Wonderful, moody still life painting showing these brightly colored cherries and oranges against a black background. Incredible detail on the glass pitcher and bowl, with the folds of the torchon makes it feel more like a photograph.
This is an oil on canvas, which was re-stretched around the 1930/40s, you can see how the original painting would have been a little larger. The frame was in bad condition and has been removed. 
It is not signed and dated around the late 1800s from France. Measures 23.75” x 17.5”
